Elevate-Derm Alliance Fall Conference Day 2
JW Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida
Friday, November 14 — Energy, Expertise, and Engagement
The morning began with a burst of energy at the Wellness Event, as Jennifer Conner, PA-C, and Keri Holyoak, PA-C, led attendees on a scenic 3-mile run/2-mile walk along the waterfront. Afterward, registration and coffee service reopened. The exhibit hall and networking lounge welcomed early visitors.
Dr. Peter Lio started the day’s education with a session on the role of trace elements, supplements, and diet in atopic dermatitis. After a breakfast symposium,
CME programming continued with Dr. Larissa Schmidt, who delivered two back-to-back sessions on biomechanics in podiatric dermatology and nail disorders. A coffee break with exhibitors provided time to recharge and explore innovations before attendees joined breakout sessions on alopecia, featuring Victoria Garcia-Albea, NP, and Keri Holyoak, PA-C, or Dr. Julio Gonzalez-Paoli’s rheumatology Q&A.
Following a symposium lunch, the afternoon included Dr. Dareen Siri on chronic spontaneous urticaria, Dr. Diego DaSilva and Buchi Neita, PA-C, on vitiligo care, and Lisa Weiss, PA-C, on managing chronic hand eczema. Attendees then gathered for a mid-afternoon coffee break before the next session, offering a chance to connect with colleagues and exhibitors.
The late afternoon featured Dr. Peter Lio on corticosteroid alternatives, followed by a SkinSync Live Panel with Douglas DiRuggiero, PA-C, Shanna Miranti, PA-C, and Buchi Neita, PA-C, discussing bullous pemphigoid. Dr. Siri closed with a session on allergy and immunology for the dermatology APP.
The evening festivities concluded with the lively Nocturnal Networking Event: “Secrets Beneath the Black Water,” where guests traded tales of skincare and dermatologic diseases with more than a few daring souls donning pirate hats and toasting adventures on the high seas.
