  • The urticarial phase of bullous pemphigoid may present without blisters in elderly patients. Confirm with a perilesional skin biopsy for DIF.
  • Neutrophilic urticarial dermatosis is associated with connective tissue disease and autoinflammatory syndromes. Check CBC, CMP, UA, autoantibody profiles, and review of systems.
  • NBUVB is a second-line treatment option after failure of H1 antihistamines for urticaria.
