- Recommended transgender males to be registered in the iPledge program according to their natal gender.
- If a patient gets a cystic flare on isotretinoin, lower the dose and/or stop isotretinoin and consider a prednisone taper at 1mg/kg.
- Idiopathic facial aseptic granulomas are inflammatory nodules on the cheeks of young children. Best treatment options include watching and waiting, the use of intralesional steroids and antinflammatory antibiotics such as azithromycin 5mg/kg per dose. Allow for 3 doses/week and not to exceed the normal adult dose.
