  • Cyclosporin (CsA) can be a safe and effective option if following dermatology guidelines of 5mg/kg/day or less, treatment no longer than 2 consecutive years, and maintaining a creatine level less than 30% over baseline.
  • The use of CsA can then make the patient respond to other treatment modalities better.
  • Acetretin is a safe but slow treatment especially for the elderly patients or patients with pustular psoriasis.
