  • Genetically modified mosquitoes have been approved in Florida to carry self-destructive genes to the female mosquito as a viable alternative to control mosquitos carrying Zika, dengue and chikengunya.
  • HPV vaccine can be therapeutic for verruca vulgaris, especially in children and adolescents, and provide cross protection. These vaccinations (2 doses under 15 years old and 3 doses over 15 years old) are recommended in individuals aged 9 to 18 and approved up the age of 45.
  • Abametapir is a recently FDA approved topical treatment for head lice that is both ovicidal and pediculocidal.
