Thursday, November 13 — Clinical Insights and Collaborative Connections

The 2025 Elevate-Derm Fall Conference at the JW Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida, launched with a dynamic and full Thursday agenda, bringing together over 230 dermatology clinicians to exchange knowledge, sharpen skills, and connect in a setting designed for collaboration and growth.

Thursday opened early with coffee service and a hot breakfast before the day’s first educational sessions.

After breakfast, attendees were officially welcomed by Matthew Brunner, PA-C, whose remarks emphasized the importance of shared learning, innovation, and collaboration in advancing dermatologic care.

The morning CME program began with Dr. Hilary Baldwin’s forward-looking presentation, “Keloids in 2025,” followed by Dr. Crystal Aguh’s exploration of “Advances in Alopecia.” A mid-morning symposium with Eileen Cheever, PA-C, and Dr. Peter Lio deepened the discussion on the mechanisms of atopic dermatitis, followed by a refreshing coffee break with exhibitors.

A late-morning highlight brought Dr. Crystal Aguh back to the stage, where she shared practical alopecia management strategies in her talk titled “How I Treat the Tough Stuff: Alopecia Tips and Tricks.”

A symposium lunch preceded Dr. Julio Gonzalez-Paoli’s talk on connective tissue diseases, followed by Dr. Baldwin’s insights on inflammatory pathways in acne and rosacea. Attendees then enjoyed a mid-afternoon coffee break, providing an opportunity to network with exhibitors.

Afternoon sessions featured Dr. Hilary Baldwin presenting on diagnosing and managing rosacea in patients with skin of color, followed by Victoria Garcia-Albea, NP, sharing patient-centered approaches from the hair loss clinic. A SkinSync Live panel with Dr. Baldwin, Shanna Miranti, PA-C, and Buchi Neita, PA-C, discussed combination acne therapies. Dr. Gonzalez-Paoli closed the academic portion with an interdisciplinary review of psoriasis and its comorbidities.

The day wrapped up with the spirited Shipwreck Social Welcome Event, a highlight for many attendees, followed by an evening CME dinner symposium that combined education and connection in a relaxed setting.
