Kicking Off RAPIDS: Arrival Day and the First-Ever JAK Institute Symposium
Kicking Off the 2nd Annual RAPIDS Conference with JAK-iNSTITUTE Symposium
The symposium opened with arrivals, coffee service, and early networking as attendees gathered for an afternoon focused on JAK inhibitors. A midday lunch provided a relaxed start before the scientific sessions began.
The program launched with Dr. Diego Ruiz Dasilva, who introduced the role of JAK inhibitors in immunologically mediated skin disorders, setting a strong clinical foundation. This was followed by Dr. Lisa Swanson, who expanded on efficacy, safety considerations, and the selection of appropriate patients for these therapies.
After a dessert break and coffee recharge, the afternoon turned more interactive. A panel led by Eileen Cheever, PA-C, and Dr. Diego Ruiz Dasilva focused on lab monitoring and offered practical guidance for clinicians. Another discussion, featuring Buchi Neita, PA-C, and Dr. Lisa Swanson, explored patient conversations and counseling strategies, which are an essential component of long-term management.
The day concluded with case-based roundtables led by Eileen Cheever, PA-C; Victoria Garcia-Albea, NP; and Buchi Neita, PA-C, giving attendees the opportunity to apply what they had learned in a collaborative setting.
Following a break, the evening shifted into networking with an exhibitor event and dinner, wrapping up the day with opportunities to connect and unwind.
