JAK Inhibitors Take Center Stage
The 7th Annual Elevate-Derm Fall Conference officially kicked off Wednesday as attendees arrived at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa, checked in, and began reconnecting with colleagues and friends. Registration remained open throughout the day as the conference’s first educational programming got underway with the JAK-iNSTITUTE Symposium.
After lunch and a non-CME symposium, the conference's first CME lecture featured Lisa Swanson, MD, presenting JAK Inhibitors: Efficacy, Safety & Patient Selection. The afternoon continued with the Stead Silver Ford Honorary Lecture & Award Presentation, with the award presented to Dr. Swanson in recognition of her dedication to educating APPs, her devotion to patient care, and her commitment to elevating the dermatology profession. Diego Ruiz DaSilva, MD, then took the stage for the second lecture, JAK Inhibitors in Immunologically Mediated Skin Disorders.
After a dessert symposium and coffee break, attendees returned for two important panel discussions focused on practical clinical considerations. Eileen Cheever, PA-C, and Dr. Ruiz DaSilva explored Lab Monitoring for JAK Inhibitors, followed by Buchi Neita, PA-C, and Dr. Swanson discussing conversations and patient counseling.
The afternoon spotlight shifted to the highly anticipated JAK Workshop: Case-Based Roundtables. Led by Eileen Cheever, PA-C, Victoria Garcia-Albea, NP, Keri Holyoak, PA-C, and Buchi Neita, PA-C, this comprehensive lecture format combined expert presentations with collaborative panel insights to outline diverse clinical scenarios and real-world approaches to patient care.
The afternoon moved from the lecture hall to the JAK Workshop: Case-Based Roundtables. Led by Eileen Cheever, PA-C, Victoria Garcia-Albea, NP, Keri Holyoak, PA-C, and Buchi Neita, PA-C, the presentation outlined diverse clinical scenarios and real-world approaches to patient care.
The symposium concluded with a SkinSync Live panel discussion, The Color of Connection: Unraveling Vitiligo, featuring Buchi Neita, PA-C, and Veronica Richardson, NP. The discussion highlighted the complexities of vitiligo and the importance of understanding patients’ experiences.
As the educational day wrapped up, the Arrival Event with Exhibitors welcomed attendees for an evening of networking, conversation, and new connections. A dinner symposium rounded out the evening.
